Mini Explorers Preschool/Childcare is owned and operated by Elizabeth Garibay. The Program is certified as a family childcare program. Our mission is to implement play-based and Reggio Emilia approaches to enhance and support children's literacy development. Children are encouraged to explore, observe, question, create, play, socialize, and be inspired by our environment.
We believe that all children grow and develop at their own pace and while it is important to ensure children are ready for preschool and for life experiences, we also feel they should not be hurried through childhood. Our goal is to provide a safe learning environment where kids can simply be kids. We are proud to embrace the Reggio Emilia approach and children are encouraged to explore, observe, question, create, play, socialize, and be inspired by our environment.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and play base.
We encourage children to make sense of experiences and ideas through ‘100 languages’, which recognize both multiple knowledge systems and ways of understanding phenomena, as well as multiple ways of expressing and communicating ideas. Each language is thought to help children to think about phenomena in a different light. For example, children might explore an interest in giraffes through the language of art or clay, the language of biology, or the language of measurement.
